DXC Technology and Anthropic announced a multi-year global partnership Wednesday under which DXC becomes one of the few Global Premier partners in the Claude Partner Network, with plans to train tens of thousands of forward-deployed, Claude-certified engineers to bring Claude into mission-critical systems DXC operates for the world's largest banks, airlines, insurers, manufacturers, and government agencies. Claude was the primary tool DXC used to build its OASIS managed-services platform; the firm estimates Claude sped up software development by a factor of 10, with more than 95% of the code generated by Claude then reviewed by software engineers, and OASIS now serves over 50 DXC customers. DXC shares are down roughly 45% over the past year and the company posted $12.64B in revenue.

DXC's "Customer Zero" pitch — we used Claude on ourselves first — is the most credible enterprise-AI go-to-market we've seen this quarter, and it solves the part that Anthropic alone cannot: getting Claude past the procurement gate at a regulated airline running a 25-year-old reservations system. The 95%-Claude-generated-code figure for OASIS deserves real scrutiny, though, because it's the kind of claim that doesn't survive an audit log — "generated then reviewed" can mean anything from "engineer changed three lines" to "engineer rewrote the function." For Anthropic, the strategic value isn't the revenue; it's the proof that a frontier lab can be the default model inside core banking and aviation systems before OpenAI gets there with its DXC equivalent. Expect Accenture or IBM to announce a matching OpenAI alliance within 60 days.

DXC's stock is down 45% and its market cap is now smaller than the deal's PR halo suggests; this may be a struggling integrator using an Anthropic banner to slow the revenue bleed, in which case the "tens of thousands of certified engineers" never materialize on the timeline implied.

At your next vendor-review meeting, ask your existing IT services partners one specific question: "Show me the model and version your forward-deployed engineers will use inside our core systems, in writing, with the substitution clause if Anthropic changes it."
