Four of today's five stories are the same story at different layers: the commercial infrastructure of the agent economy is being wired now, in public, and the wiring decides who gets paid. Broadcom lends Anthropic the money to buy Broadcom's chips. Anthropic warns investors Washington can detach its customers. Retailers decide which agents walk through the door. California decides which AI decisions a boss can make alone. The platform-share shift is the market reacting to all of it in real time. The near-term bet that is working: owning a chokepoint — compute financing, checkout, regulatory template, distribution. The bet that isn't: assuming any of these are still contestable in six months.
