Anthropic doesn't have a 10,000-person field team and has no realistic path to building one. EPAM does, and EPAM's installed base — banks, insurers, life-sciences companies — is exactly where Anthropic's revenue thesis sits. The interesting number isn't 10,000 architects; it's that Anthropic is willing to let EPAM own the customer relationship and the implementation margin in exchange for getting Claude into rooms its own salesforce will never enter.
