A Gemini update that matches Mythos and GPT-5.5 is a respectable position, but it is not a leadership claim , and Alphabet's narrative has been priced for leadership since November's Gemini 3 launch. The deeper problem is that the proactive-assistant demo arrives into a market where the Five Eyes just told CISOs that exactly this class of system — agents with cross-app credentials and ambient data access — is the highest-risk category to deploy. Google is shipping the right product into the wrong week of policy weather.
