Overview

Clinical documentation consumes hours of physician time daily. DAX Copilot uses ambient AI to listen during patient encounters and automatically generate clinical notes — letting providers focus on the patient, not the keyboard.

Steps

  1. Enable DAX Copilot: Activate the ambient listening feature within your EHR system. DAX integrates with major EHR platforms including Epic and Cerner.
  2. Start the encounter: Begin the patient visit with DAX recording. The AI captures the natural conversation between provider and patient.
  3. Review the draft note: After the encounter, DAX generates a structured clinical note with chief complaint, HPI, assessment, and plan — formatted to your template preferences.
  4. Edit and sign: Review the AI-generated note, make corrections or additions, and sign it into the medical record. Most edits are minimal.
  5. Track time savings: Monitor documentation time before and after implementation to quantify the productivity gain.
