Google establishes Seoul AI Campus for scientific research
Google DeepMind will establish an AI Campus within its Seoul offices to give Korean research institutions direct access to frontier AI models. Google will provide access to five specific AI systems: AlphaEvolve for algorithm optimization, AlphaGenome for DNA mutation analysis, AlphaFold for protein prediction, AI co-scientist for hypothesis verification, and WeatherNext for climate modeling. AlphaFold already serves more than 85,000 researchers in Korea (per company data).
